Painting
We offer painting of any type of furniture; kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, free-standing pieces. We can paint a flat colour of your choice or a decorative finish such as dragging, colour-washing and many ageing and distressing techniques. We can interpret your own ideas or give you some suggestions.
If you want a flat colour you can select a mixed colour from any of the many paint ranges and if it’s still not quite right in your room, we can alter the colour to get the exact shade. Where decorative work is required we will hand-mix the paints for a truly unique colour and decorative finish. We will always produce samples and allow time for discussion in order to achieve something you are really happy with. We want your furniture to be practical, durable and long lasting and to ensure this we thoroughly protect everything we paint with varnish or lacquer.
We also offer many other types of decorative work such as hand-painted walls, woodgraining, gold and silver leaf work.
Repainting
Whether it be wood or painted, furniture that was installed in the 1980s, 90s or later, may now be worn and damaged or appear dated. We can transform furniture for a fraction of the cost of a new installation with a minimum of upheaval. We carefully wash down and prepare the cabinets, repair any superficial damage and apply a coat of specialist primer. We can then paint the furniture as if from new. We have a large number of clients who have been delighted with our work the second time around.
A repaint of furniture is the time to address any structural problems with the furniture such as doors and drawers not working like they used to and to maybe change worktops and handles. We have trusted contacts who can help with these aspects too.
Restoration
If you still love your painted furniture but it’s looking a bit worn in places, we offer an express restoration service. We specialize in matching paint colours for restoration and can usually restore an average sized kitchen with a few days work. By thoroughly cleaning, repairing damage, retouching, repainting and varnishing, we not only extend its life considerably but also leave you with furniture that looks brand new.
It goes without saying that decorating is messy, but, whatever project we undertake we will respect your home and leave the work area clean and tidy at the end of each day!
